Immunopathogenesis of Idiopathic Nephrotic Syndrome 

　

Definition 

Idiopathic Nephrotic Syndrome is a kind of Nephrotic Syndrome, which takes place in some babies. Usually, symptoms of Idiopathic Nephrotic Syndrome appear three to six months after they are born. It also has four characteristics of Idiopathic Nephrotic Syndrome such as a large amount of protein in urine, which is more than 3.5g per 24 hours, low proteinuria, the albumin in the plasma is less than 3g /L, edema or swelling, hyperlipidaemia. 

Types of Nephrotic Syndrome 

To understand the Idiopathic Nephrotic Syndrome and distinguish it from other types of Nephrotic Syndrome such as Lupus Nephritis, it is necessary to make a classification here. 

1. primary Nephrotic Syndrome

  Primary Nephrotic Syndrome is a kind of kidney disease which is caused by the damage of kidney itself, which accounts for more than 90% of all the Nephrotic Syndrome. 

2. Secondary Nephrotic Syndrome 

Secondary Nephrotic Syndrome is caused by other factors such as lupus, purpura, and so on. The manifestations are such as Purpura Nephritis, Lupus Nephritis, and so on. 

3. Idiopathic Nephrotic Syndrome 

  Idiopathic Nephrotic Syndrome is always related to the genetic factors. 

Pathological reasons

1. immune response
