How to Prevent Diabetic Nephropathy from Developing into Uremia

Diabetic Nephropathy is the complication of Diabetes, which leads damage to the whole system. If not controlled well, it may develop into Uremia eventually. So how to prevent Diabetic Nephropathy from developing into Uremia? We can take measures as follows:
1. Patients with Diabetic Nephropathy should examine blood sugars, sugars in urine, weight, sugar tolerance, blood pressure, blood fat, etc. On one hand, patients can improve the life style. On the other hand, patients can find out Diabetes as early as possible.
2. Follow healthy life style. Remember four principles: reasonable diet, proper exercise, giving up smoking, good mental condition. As long as patients follow these, the incidence of Diabetes will decrease to 50%.
3. Monitor the renal function of patients with Diabetes. The period of Diabetic Nephropathy can be divided into five stages. So the more patients find it, the better the effect will be. Proteinuria is the main characteristic of the first stage. It can also show as intermittent microalbuminuria (MAU). Patients with Diabetic Nephropathy should have regular examination about microalbuminuria (MAU) at least once one year. If microalbuminuria (MAU) is found, patients should shorten the examination period and treat it if necessary.
Once Diabetic Nephropathy takes place, what treatment methods can patients adopt? Stem cell transplant is the best therapy till now, which is usually combined with Chinese active medicine. Chinese active medicine can block renal fibrosis, and supply an environment for stem cell’s repairing. Stem cell can repair the damaged intrinsic cells, and differentiate into renal cells which kidney is short of. With the improvement of renal function, proteinuria will turn negative again, and patients’ condition will turn better so that Uremia will be prevented.
