Father’s day is on the way. We celebrated it because father did a lot for the family. He raised the whole family in some family as well as earns money to pay for our fee on education. No matter father is a work who works in a workshop or a clerk in an office, he will suffer from either physical pressure or mental pressure. In China, some of them can not feel any abnormality in daily life. But some day, they suddenly feel uncomfortable and went to hospital. To our surprise, the result often shows that he is in the end stage of some disease. Especially for those with kidney disease, once people are diagnosed, they may have developed into uremia, the end stage of renal failure.
Why does it happen? Kidney is an organ which has a strong ability of compensation, which means that even there are damaged renal glomeruli in the kidney, the other ones will replace their work to do more filtration work such as filtrating creatinine, a metabolism waste which should be discharged out of the body. So although the GFR( glomerular filtration rate) declines, the serum creatinine and other index will not rise and people feel no symptoms. When they have symptoms and go to hospital, we have missed the best treatment time and it is difficult to recover.
How to avoid it? As a matter of fact, there has appeared abnormality in urine such as protein in urine, red blood cells and so on, which we can not see with our naked eyes. In this case, timely examination is essential and critical. On father’s day, many sons and daughters will give fathers gift and this year, we can change another way to celebrate. We can accompany father to do a urine test and blood test, which will help diagnose diseases earlier including kidney disease.
